Jambissima: Driving Organic Growth Through Localized SEO
How we helped Jambissima improve the SEO performance of its international websites through localized category pages, product detail pages and content – contributing to a 500% increase in revenue.

International eCommerce is not simply about translating a website into multiple languages.
A page can be linguistically correct and still fail to match what users actually search for in a particular market. Search behaviour, terminology and user intent vary from country to country.
This was one of the key opportunities we identified when working with Jambissima Italy and Jambissima Spain.
The starting point: translation is not localization
Jambissima already had a multilingual e-commerce setup. However, our SEO analysis showed that some language versions were not sufficiently aligned with the search behaviour of their respective markets.
The challenge was therefore not simply to improve translations.
The real challenge was to understand how users in each market actually search for the products.
Our approach was to move beyond literal translation and optimize the content around local search behaviour and intent.
Our approach: localized SEO instead of one-to-one translations
We focused on three core areas.
1. Optimizing category pages
Category pages are some of the most important SEO landing pages in an e-commerce environment. They can target broad, high-value search terms while guiding users towards relevant products.
We therefore reviewed and optimized Jambissima’s category pages across different language versions, focusing on:
locally relevant keywords;
page titles and meta descriptions;
heading structures;
category copy;
internal linking;
search intent.
The goal was not to simply translate the same keyword from one language into another.
Instead, we asked:
What would a customer in this market actually type into Google?
2. Optimizing product detail pages
We applied the same principle to Jambissima’s product detail pages.
Product titles, descriptions, headings, product attributes and other relevant SEO elements were reviewed and optimized to better match local search behaviour.
This helped ensure that the pages were not only understandable in the respective language, but also relevant to the way users in that market search for products.
3. Creating localized blog content
The third pillar was editorial content.
We created new blog articles targeting relevant topics and search queries in the respective markets.
Again, the approach was not to simply translate existing articles.
Instead, topics and keywords were selected based on the actual search opportunities in each market.
Example: the Italian and Spanish Jambissima website
The Italian and Spanish version of Jambissima is a good example of this approach.
Rather than treating the Italian website as a translated copy of another market, we looked at the Italian search landscape and adapted the content accordingly.
This meant identifying relevant Italian search terms, aligning category and product content with local search intent, and creating editorial content around topics that were actually relevant to Italian users.
The result is a website that does more than speak Italian.
It is structured and optimized to perform within the Italian search market.
The result: +500% revenue
By combining optimized category pages, improved product detail pages and localized content, we supported Jambissima in strengthening its organic presence across its different markets.
Over the period analyzed, Jambissima achieved a 500% increase in revenue.
+500% revenue
Growth recorded during the period of our collaboration and the SEO optimizations implemented.
The development was driven by a continuous optimization process: improving existing content and adding new content where relevant SEO opportunities were identified.
The key takeaway: international SEO starts with localization
The Jambissima project highlights one of the most important principles of international SEO:
Translation and localization are not the same thing.
People in different countries may search for the same product using completely different terms. Their search behaviour, terminology and expectations can differ significantly.
That is why successful international SEO requires a combination of keyword research, search intent analysis, content optimization and genuine localization.
Our approach
At LDMM Agency, we believe international SEO should go beyond simply replicating a website across multiple languages.
We look at how each market actually searches, identify the biggest opportunities and adapt the content accordingly.
For Jambissima, this meant optimizing category pages, product detail pages and creating new editorial content — all with one shared objective:
to make the website more relevant to both users and search engines in each market.
Because in international SEO, being available in a language is one thing. Being relevant in that language is another.
